GOOD & BAD---

FIRST WATCHES:

And So They Were Married (1936) Mary Astor, Melvyn Douglas, Donad Meek.    A man and woman, both parents, arrive at a skiing lodge and before long their offspring are being bratty and causing trouble.  A landslide blocks the road and they end up among the few guests.  So the adults gradually become interested in each other and the kids have to make the best of it.   Not bad and Astor is a delight.  7/10

Weekend With Father (1951) Van Heflin, Patricia Neal, Virginif Field, Richard Denning.   He has two girls. She has two boys.  They fall in love and decide to marry.  His former girlfriend, a singer, decides to visit the lodge where they are all vacationing.  Supposed to be charming but is tedious.         6/10

Morning Glory (2010) Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson.   A new hire at the TV station tries to make the ratings go  up and gets on the last nerve of the grumpy star newsman.  Never have seen McAdams act so hyper.  She makes ME nervous and is not appreciated by her fellow toilers at the station.   Ford is fine as the old time newsman who doesn't want to do frivolous segments she thinks up.
